To find peace within a world of chaos is a difficult matter, for at the root of such chaos is the desire for peace. We seek it, yearn for it, but we chase after it by moving mountains around us—creating chaos along the way. How can peace in this exist in the future if we have, in the present moment, created a past of death and destruction—a decaying reality? I suppose that it is the only way, or maybe there is another that we have yet to discover. I do not know. I only know that our world is broken, and sad. The Earth is crying, and from its tears new life is born. From that sadness and sorrow we are given a chance to bring forth a new age of peace and prosperity, because we are given a chance to live through the chaos that comes with movement.
We are that chaos which is rooted in peace. It is our ego, however, that claims righteousness over this chaotic domain, often feeding into the negativity that seems so prevalent and abundant. Why is there so much chaos in growth? Why must we be dealt with the pain of growth? Of course, without it, there would be no lessons to be learned, and time would cease to matter. I often wonder why things are the way they are, but then I wonder why things are not the way they are not. Would we even have a concept of peace without the concept of chaos? Or would neither concept exist?
We must find peace within the chaos, and allow ourselves to rise above the challenge and hard times that are brought forth from it. If it already exists, then there is no point in reflecting on what could have been, but rather what could be. The past cannot be changed, so it’s best to focus on the future while it is here in the present moment. Nothing can ever be done from anywhere else.
