I came to the world to follow my heart,
so I found this art—this sweet, sweet poetry.
And like the melody I strummed along,
I would write these words like I would a song.
And so, with each word, a tune was felt,
and with each vibration, my heart would be written—
written into yours, pennies in a wishing well, completely inseparable.
And with each word strung together, so was my destiny—
always, so long as you were with me.
I’ll have to write for a hundred years more
to get to where I’d want to be—
to where I’d write a whole world for you and I to see—
because life is the greatest story ever told,
a story of heartfelt memories, of you and me,
to where the cards never fold, and the wells never dry up.
