There in the ground lies a seed—
a seed for every potential tree,
a seed for every potential being,
a seed for every… living thing.
We all sprout from the same soil,
and we all help cultivate the same land.
We help each other grow and prosper—
and yet, things nowadays feel more like quicksand.
The seed gets buried
and never has the chance to grow.
And we are then left wondering:
Where did all the trees go?
It wasn’t watered enough,
or nurtured, or paid attention to.
It wasn’t given the proper amount of love,
or care, or emotional food.
There’s nothing left but empty promises—
promises that nobody ever keeps.
Though perhaps they will when I’m asleep…
and I hope they finally do.
Because a seed has to breathe
in order to flourish in this life—
this place, this… reality.
It needs to find a way to the light.
