Four Letter Word

Life is a four-letter word.

There’s a reason for that—

this, I am sure.

Life is when you love,

or when you hate.

It’s when you give,

or you take away.

Life is funny like that,

or as simple as this.

and even as sweet as a kiss.

Life is when you’re nuts,

or when you’re sane.

It’s when you’re in love,

or when you’re in pain.

And life can be kinda nice,

or what you may call rude.

But life is what others call love—

and love is always true.
