I had it in with
a cataclysmic kitten—
and it was a
complete
catastrophe!
Shooting fur balls
from her mouth
that shaped into
colorful galaxies.
I knew it then,
I know it now—
that this kitten
was having a cow.
How?
How could this be?
That a cute little kitten
could even have a cow?
That, I did not see!
And then there were
planets and stars—
galore!
Down on the
Milky Way shore.
And I could see the fire
in her bright, starry eyes—
a burning desire
to create, and to
give birth
to trillions of lives—
and to many,
many more.
I knew then,
and I know now—
that she had
not a cow...
But in fact,
had given birth
to everything,
and anything—
including our
planet, Earth.
And for what
it’s worth,
I must say this—
that out of her
intricate strangeness,
we were all born,
which is truer
than true bliss...
