Fast Asleep

I lay awake at night,

thinking, pondering,

the thought of you.

 

I can’t sleep, no matter

how hard I try, it’s no use.

All I can think about 

is you.

 

But I have to wonder,

are you still awake

because of me?

 

Or are you already

 fast asleep?
